Irv began work at the age of 8 at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Guided by his grandmother, the legendary Mrs. B, and his father, Louie, he worked in all areas of the company.

Irv went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Arizona in 1974. He returned to Omaha and the family business in 1975 after a major tornado demolished the store. He was instrumental in not only rebuilding the facility, but in growing the business into what it is today—one of America’s largest home furnishings businesses.

Managing the operation along with his brother, Ron Blumkin, the Omaha campus has grown to 77 acres with a state-of-the-art distribution warehouse and an ongoing program of updating the sales areas with the latest in retail innovations.

In 1983, a majority of the business was sold to Berkshire Hathaway, headed by legendary investor Warren Buffett.

In 1993, Irv and Ron played a vital role in opening a 24,000 square foot Nebraska Furniture Mart showroom in Clive, Iowa, with an emphasis on contractor sales. Irv was also instrumental in the 2000 acquisition of the Homemakers Furniture Store in Des Moines, Iowa, which has expanded to a 215,000 square foot state‑of‑the‑art retail furniture showroom.

Irv helped guide the planning and 2003 opening of a new Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, Kansas, which covers 80 acres and has more than 1,000,000 square feet of combined retail and distribution center space.

Irv remains involved in the company's strategy and vision, store layout/design, as well as mentoring our merchandising staff.

Tony began his career with NFM as a lead in the distribution center of Homemakers, a wholly owned subsidiary of NFM. Soon promoted to a supervisory role, Tony then transferred to NFM’s Des Moines store as the Warehouse Manager, overseeing all distribution for the location. In 2006, he was named Store Director for the Des Moines location. Always one to seize an opportunity, Tony moved to Omaha to be the Appliances and Electronics General Sales Manager and became Kansas City’s Store Director in 2012. In 2017, he was named President and Chief Operating Officer. As of 2021, Tony is now CEO & President. Tony Boldt is responsible for providing strategic, financial and operational leadership for NFM. He works closely with the senior leadership team for strategic execution and also oversees merchandising.

Ron Blumkin, son of Louie Blumkin, is part of the third generation of family leadership at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Ron, a graduate of the University of Nebraska‑Lincoln, joined the company after serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1970‑1972. Before being named Chairman in 2017, Ron served as NFM's President and Chief Operating Officer for more than 30 years and oversaw the company’s growth from a single Omaha store to include stores in Kansas City, Des Moines and The Colony, Texas.

Megan Berry Barlow received a Master of Science in Health Promotion and Human Resources from Nebraska Methodist College in 2004 while working at Nebraska Furniture Mart as the Benefit, Compensation and Risk Manager. Megan now oversees the Human Resource functions at all NFM locations including Benefits, Compensation and Safety, Employment and Employee Relations, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Training and Organizational Development. Prior to joining NFM, Megan held human resource and sales positions with Prudential HealthCare, Blue Cross Blue Shield—UniCare, DX Service / Dixie Chemical and Mosaic (formerly Bethphage).

Nora Gomez joined Nebraska Furniture Mart in 2018 bringing more than 20 years of merchandising, product development, sourcing and strategic planning experience. In her role, she oversees all Merchandise Divisions and Buying Teams as well as the Brand and Visual teams, Enterprise Planning and Regional Merchandising at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Nora holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management and Marketing from Syracuse University.

Doug Hamlin holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Kansas and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Doug began his career in public accounting before moving into senior roles in finance for various retail organizations. Doug has been with NFM since 2005 and oversees all financial departments and the Continuous Improvement Office.

Marc Harris joined the Nebraska Furniture Mart team in 2002 as the Store Director for NFM’s Des Moines location. He then transferred to Omaha, taking on the role of Business Improvement Manager where his team was dedicated to driving a culture of continuous improvement through education, empowerment and innovation. In 2018, Marc was named Director of Supply Chain and Operational Excellence where his team continues to improve performance at the organizational level through innovative Supply Chain solutions.

Jeff Lind joined Nebraska Furniture Mart in 1983 as a part‑time sales professional and moved around the NFM sales floor eventually landing in senior management while attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he studied Computer Science. Jeff worked on NFM’s expansion into the Kansas City market and was instrumental in the store’s opening on August 1, 2003. Today, Jeff is working to expand Nebraska Furniture Mart’s Texas store and develop the Grandscape site.

Robyn Messerly joined Nebraska Furniture Mart in 2001 as a Team Leader in Information Technology. In 2008, Robyn began managing NFM’s App Dev team before being named Director of Information Technology in 2016. In this role, Robyn oversees the full scope of IT at Nebraska Furniture Mart, including software development, support, hardware and software purchasing, endpoint management, networks, data centers and telephone functions. Prior to joining NFM, Robyn was Director of Information Technology for Omnium Worldwide. Robyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a Computer Science minor from Buena Vista University.

Amy joined Nebraska Furniture Mart in 2019. As the Chief Marketing Officer, she is responsible for creating and executing the overall strategy of NFM’s Marketing Department to achieve alignment and consistency across all marketing channels and elevate the customer experience. Amy brings marketing and leadership experience from a distinguished career working with organizations including Gordmans, Things Remembered, Kraft Foods and Spiegel Catalog as well as expertise in omnichannel marketing and business analytics. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a Master of Arts in Economics from Indiana University.

Ethan Stover has been a part of the Nebraska Furniture Mart team for more than 15 years. A graduate of Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, Ethan joined NFM in 2003 in Television Sales at the Kansas City store. In 2013, he became General Sales Manager for Appliances and Electronics, and in 2017, Ethan was named Store Director for Kansas City.

Elizabeth Barton oversees the Call Center which includes appliances and electronics customer care, furniture customer care, switchboard team, phone sales, business to business sales, web sales, online support team, global QA and the care center support team. Elizabeth joined NFM in 1995 and was named Senior Customer Relations Manager in 2002. In 2011, she was promoted to her current role as Director of Customer Relations. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Analysis and Management from Bellevue University while working at Nebraska Furniture Mart.

Dave Chambers began his career with Nebraska Furniture Mart in 2002 as a Flooring Specialist. During his time with NFM, he has worked his way to Flooring Sales Manager, Returns and Allowances Project Leader, and Furniture General Sales Manager for the Kansas City store. In 2017, Dave was named Director of Flooring where he oversees all merchandising and buying strategies for the Flooring Division.

Jeff joined NFM in 1996 as a part‑time sales professional. In 2003, Jeff was hired full‑time to develop NFM.com into a world class e‑commerce operation as the E‑commerce Manager before being promoted to E‑commerce General Manager in 2013 and then Director of E‑commerce in 2018. In his current role, Jeff heads the overall organizational effort to develop and manage the e‑commerce and omnichannel strategy. Jeff has grown NFM.com into an Internet Retailer Top 500 E‑commerce site, growing it by double digits each year since its launch. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Electronic Imaging Graphics from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Shane Pohlman joined the Nebraska Furniture Mart team in 2000 as a Lead Product Specialist. Over a career spanning nearly 20 years with NFM, he has held various roles within the company including Sales Manager, Merchandising Manager, Operations Manager, Appliance Buyer and Furniture DMM. In 2008, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, followed by a Master of Business Administration in 2010. Shane was named Director of Furniture in 2018.

Bobbi Lindeman joined Nebraska Furniture Mart in 2020 and is the Director of Merchandise Planning, Inventory Flow and Transformation. In her current role, she is responsible for enterprise planning, demand forecasting and replenishment planning. In addition, Bobbi leads the Vendor Relations, and Merchandise Systems and Process Improvement teams. Before being promoted into this role, Bobbi was the Divisional Merchandise Manager responsible for Appliances. Bobbi brings to NFM over 20 years of executive omni-channel leadership with demonstrated success developing and executing strategies for leading retailers. Prior to joining NFM, she was the Vice President of Ecommerce and Direct Operations for Bass Pro Shops and a member of the Goldman Sachs' Digital Connectivity Council.She also held various roles at Cabela's including Vice President of Merchanidising and Vice President of International. Bobbi earned a Bachelor of Arts from Simpson College and is a graduate of the Business Marketing Strategies Executive Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Scott Baker began his career with Nebraska Furniture Mart in 1985 in the Omaha distribution center. Scott steadily moved up through various managerial roles and in 2007, began work on a Bachelor of Science in Business. In 2013, Scott completed his degree and was named Store Director for NFM’s Omaha store.

Nastasia Williams joined NFM in 2004 as a cashier in our Kansas City, KS store. She’s held positions of increasing responsibility from customer service to operations to sales management in both our Kansas City and Texas stores. In 2021, Nastasia returned to her roots in Kansas City when she was named Store Director for NFM’s Kansas City store.

Robert Kincheloe came to NFM in 2013 as the first employee and Facilities Manager for the Texas Facility in The Colony, Texas. Robert was a part of the team that helped with the construction of the new store and had the opportunity to work & learn in Kansas City Store as well during his early journey with NFM. Over the years along with his Facilities role, he was lucky enough to lead the IT support team in The Colony, Texas Store. Robert has a Master's Degree in Project Management and vast experience from many different industries from his prior work history. In 2022 Robert was named The Colony Store Director.

Tim Mullen joined NFM in 2003 as the Des Moines Warehouse Manager. As the Des Moines store continued to grow, Tim moved into the role of Asst. Store Director / Operations Manager in 2008. In 2012 Tim was promoted to Des Moines Store Director and has held that position since. The Des Moines store eventually outgrew its original building during Tim’s tenure and now occupies a newly built location at 156th & Hickman in Clive, IA.
